Nearly 11 lakh farmers in Himachal Pradesh have received Rs 220 crore under the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal said on Friday. Affected landowners and farmer representatives have demanded clear written assurances on market valuation and fair compensation norms before field surveys or land acquisition proceed. District officials are expected to hold consultations with local stakeholders to resolve the impasse.
