The Indian government has formed a high-level committee led by Suresh N Patel to review the banking sector and implement structural reforms to ensure global competitiveness and robust credit. The government has appointed former Central Vigilance Commissioner Suresh N Patel as chairman of the committee. The panel will include RBI Deputy Governor Shirish Chandra Murmu, former Indian Bank.
