Officials discovered rotten meat, spoiled vegetables and expired food items during surprise inspections at several hotels in Ballari, Karnataka, on Friday. The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department and the Revenue Department conducted the raids after receiving allegations that hotels in the city were preparing and selling food without adhering to proper hygiene standards and food safety regulations.
