Acting Minister for Manpower Jasmin Lau cautioned employers on Friday (Oct 30) not to "overlook the talent you already have" when adopting AI into the workforce. Speaking at the Singapore National Employers Federation Employers' Summit, she encouraged employers to empower staff to explore how AI can improve work processes and consider retraining staff for emerging roles before hiring new workers.
