Indonesian police have named 20 companies as suspects in connection with the 2026 forest and land fires, intensifying a crackdown on firms linked to the regional haze. Four of the companies are foreign-owned, with investors from Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea. Identified by the initials HKI, RKA, API and AI, they were named by a senior police official during a briefing in Pontianak on October 29.
