Phuket residents in high-risk areas have been ordered to evacuate on Thursday (Oct 29), after mudslides and floods buried roads in the beach town of Patong. Continued rainfall has also raised concerns about further flooding and landslides. More than 100 households and businesses in Patong have been affected, with preliminary estimates putting the damage at 100 million baht (around US$3 million).
