Mumbai celebrated Karwa Chauth on October 29 with women observing traditional rituals and gathering for the evening moon-sighting ceremony. Photographs captured women holding lit sieves, offering prayers and looking at their husbands through them. The Moon appeared at around 9:20 pm. A video also showed women at Omkar Alta Monte Tower in Malad breaking their fast together.
