In an earlier suit, B.R. Shetty sought $15 billion in damages from Bank of Baroda, its officials and other defendants over their alleged role in transactions linked to the NMC fraud. Bank of Baroda had earlier said it had not been served with the lawsuit and would firmly defend the case.
