Western Railway conducted a demolition drive to remove 28 illegal hutments for Jogeshwari Terminus. The operation took place under heavy police protection, involving RPF and city police personnel. A JCB was utilized for the demolition process, which aimed to clear land obstructing access roads. The first phase of the terminus construction is expected to be completed by early 2027. This new facility will feature four widened platforms for long-distance trains.
