Jamia Protest: Students at Jamia Millia Islamia continued their protest on the university’s 106th Foundation Day on October 29, marking 18 days of demonstrations. Demanding the restoration of the students’ union and elections, which they say have not been held since 2006, protesters organised their own celebrations after the administration cancelled the official event. Students hoisted the Tricolour, raised slogans and staged hunger strikes as the standoff with the administration continued.
