Following a successful legal challenge by Sophia Kunjipalu against a discriminatory ban, the Kerala High Court struck down a rule prohibiting female. Sophia Kunjipalu, a housemaid at Irinjalakkuda, plans to have a change of job, starting next month. On November 1, she will become an employee at a toddy shop at Ponjanam under Irinjalakkuda range.
