Demonstrations in Indonesia's capital city Jakarta entered a second day on Thursday (Oct 29) as student groups attempted a march to the presidential palace. In videos shared online, protesters were seen being blockaded by authorities and flares were lit as evening fell. The protests began on Oct 28 against the government's policies and its response to ongoing forest fires. The rallies were also to commemorate Youth Pledge Day.
