A hacker using the name “Department of Peace” has published personnel data on more than 40,000 US Department of Homeland Security employees, including staff from ICE and Customs and Border Protection. The breach reportedly exposed a directory of employees and the work tools they could access through an internal login system. The department had not publicly disclosed the breach at the time of reporting, raising concerns over employee privacy and government cybersecurity.
