Mumbai Police is expanding its canine squad with six Belgian Malinois dogs, a breed known for its agility, endurance and role in high-risk security operations, including the 2011 US raid that killed Osama bin Laden. The move aims to strengthen explosive detection, VIP protection and security at major public gatherings, with one of the newly procured dogs already trained and deployed.
