The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) directed the company to immediately discontinue the misleading advertisement across platforms. The CCPA fined Britannia Rs 1 lakh for misleading '100% whole wheat bread' ads, as the product contains only 62% wheat. Holding that the label misled consumers about the bread s composition, the CCPA said the product failed to meet the 75% wheat threshold for being described as whole wheat.
