The district administration has begun preparations to tackle a potential water crisis in the next eight months, with orders issued for repairs of defunct borewells, restoring wells, plugging pipeline leakages and speedy completion of water supply projects. Nagpur’s water shortage plan targets 37 defunct borewells, 36 wells, leaking pipelines and new supply projects before shortages worsen.
