“You can't conduct diplomacy just by phone, or through the media,” Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said on Wednesday (Oct 28), taking stock of his visit to Indonesia amid tensions over the transboundary haze situation. Speaking to the media at the end of his three-day working visit to Jakarta, Dr Balakrishnan stressed the importance of face-to-face talks.
