Lawmakers passed the bill during a plenary session presided over by the speaker, Jibril Ismail-Falgore. The Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday endorsed the bill to establish a state police service. Mr Ismail-Falgore said lawmakers passed the bill after deliberating on clauses 1–26 in the committee of the Whole House.
