The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has urged residents in parts of Mumbai, the eastern suburbs and areas of Thane and Bhiwandi supplied by the civic body to boil and filter drinking. Mumbai residents, along with those in Thane and Bhiwandi, are advised to boil and filter drinking water for seven days due to the recommissioning of the Yewai reservoir.
