Cybercrooks duped a 56-year-old Talegaon Dabhade resident of Rs 30 lakh by threatening to implicate him in a money laundering case. While the Talegaon Dabhade police blocked Rs 3.45 lakh of the sum, the entire amount was mentioned in the FIR. A Mangaluru man lost Rs 1.71 lakh after downloading a fake Mparivahan app via an e-penalty link. Police registered a case following the malicious APK file scam involving multiple bank transactions.
