The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has urged residents in parts of Mumbai, the eastern suburbs and areas of Thane and Bhiwandi supplied by the civic body to boil and filter drinking. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has advised residents across Mumbai and surrounding areas to boil and filter their drinking water for one week as a precaution during reservoir maintenance work.
