A committee will be established under a new resolution by the Sharjah Executive Council to improve the efficiency of assessments in addiction cases and create an integrated framework to support addicts. The Addiction Assessment and Containment Committee, which will be affiliated and operated under the Sharjah Police, will aim to reduce relapses through early intervention, periodic testing and integrated coordination among relevant entities.
