The family of a man who was electrocuted after coming into contact with a snapped power line has received Rs 10 lakh in compensation from Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), following the intervention of the state human rights commission (SHRC). Affected landowners and farmer representatives have demanded clear written assurances on market valuation and fair compensation norms before field surveys or land acquisition proceed.
