A fatal Mercedes crash in Kochi has sparked outrage after a 17-year-old boy, the son of an Additional District Judge, allegedly drove his father's car and struck a scooter on October 25, killing 55-year-old street-food vendor Jayabalakrishnan. The teenager was taken into custody again following protests but was later granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board. His father has been booked under the Motor Vehicles Act as the vehicle's registered owner.
