Tanzanian opposition leader Tundu Lissu, who was charged with treason last year, has started a hunger strike to protest his inability to access his lawyers, his party said. The hunger strike comes ahead of a November 6 judgment in Lissu’s treason trial, in which he could face the death penalty if convicted.
