Tension briefly flared outside a counting centre in Patna during the counting of votes for eight Bihar MLC seats, after political party workers surrounded a man carrying a file and accused him of attempting vote theft. According to reports, the individual was stopped and questioned by party workers inside the counting centre premises. After the file was opened, it was found to contain Form 16 election-related documents.
