The CC44 licence plate sold for 6.72 million dirhams at a Dubai auction, the highest bid among 60 rare car plates sold. The auction was held by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City hotel. As The National reports, the total proceeds from the auction reached 65.7 million dirhams. The second most expensive lot was the BB18 plate, which sold for 6.6 million dirhams.
