Chief minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday announced that North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation would soon be renamed Kittur Rani Chennamma Road Transport Corporation. Addressing the valedictory function of the three-day Kittur Utsav in Kittur, Belagavi, Shivakumar also announced Rs 40 crore to develop a theme park showcasing Rani Chennamma’s history and legacy and promote the town as a tourist destination.
