Bhopal Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar has imposed a two-month ban on carbide guns, cannons, lamps and illegally modified firecrackers ahead of Diwali. The order prohibits their manufacture, sale, purchase, storage and use under BNSS Section 163(2). Around 300 people reportedly suffered injuries or vision loss across Madhya Pradesh during Diwali 2025.
