Mexico will have four new international air routes, including a new Milan-Cozumel route and three new flights from Mexico City to the U.S. The flight between Milan’s Malpensa Airport and Cozumel will begin operations on Dec. 24, with weekly Thursday flights operating onboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama referred to the new service as the island’s first direct air connection with Europe.
