In a joint action of Kotwali Katra police, special operation group and surveillance unit of Mirzapur district, eight members of an interstate Kharwar gang were arrested on Monday with stolen jewellery worth Rs 65 lakh. Civic and transport authorities are coordinating field operations to improve commuter safety, reduce transit bottlenecks, and streamline daily travel across key urban corridors.
