The Defence Acquisition Council has cleared procurement proposals worth ₹2.12 trillion for the three services, with around 82 per cent of the equipment to be sourced from Indian industry. The council granted Acceptance of Necessity for a range of military equipment and systems aimed at strengthening the armed forces' operational readiness & combat capabilities.
