On October 24, Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) reportedly touched 322, placing it in the very poor category, while Delhi recorded 176. Mumbai’s air pollution has worsened amid weak winds, hot and humid weather, construction dust, and waste burning, pushing the city above Delhi in air pollution rankings. With air quality worsening, construction and redevelopment projects are again under closer scrutiny from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
