Gujarat has declared Devbhoomi Dwarka, Kutch, Jamnagar, and Porbandar as drought-affected after insufficient monsoon rainfall. Chief minister Bhupendra Patel announced assistance for affected farmers including monetary support per hectare for failed crops. The government initiated the provision of discounted fodder and support for cattle shelters. An employment scheme will also be implemented in affected districts starting November 1.
