CAR T-cell therapy is an emerging cancer treatment that modifies a patient’s T-cells genetically to help them recognise and attack cancer cells. These immune cells are collected, engineered with genes that enable cancer targeting, and infused back into the bloodstream, where they can identify and destroy cancer cells through targeted therapy.
