Celebrations erupted across Belgrade and other Serbian cities after President Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in a fiercely contested parliamentary election against a student-led opposition movement. The vote marks a major political shift after 14 years of Vucic’s dominance. His Serbian Progressive Party projected that the opposition Students’ List would win 135–140 seats, compared with around 105 for the SNS.
