Kerala Home Minister has criticised Kochi police over their handling of the hit-and-run case, calling the initial failure to add a culpable homicide charge against the accused a mistake. The minister also expressed surprise over the accused securing bail, said senior police officers intervened before additional charges were added, and indicated that a case could be filed against the accused's father if required, as the car is registered in his name.
