Thick smoke was seen near the Parliament building as a fire scare was reported at Delhi’s iconic North Block this morning. A suspected short circuit reportedly triggered a blaze in an air-conditioning boiler on the rooftop, sending black smoke billowing above the Raisina Hill complex. Six fire tenders rushed to the spot, and officials said the fire had been brought under control. Welding work was reportedly underway when the incident occurred.
