After days of scant rainfall, Telangana is bracing for heavy to extremely heavy rain on Oct 28. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for three districts — Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam — as a system over the Bay of Bengal is forecast to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm and approach the Andhra Pradesh coast.
