A 17-year-old boy, the son of a serving judge in Kerala, allegedly drove his father's Mercedes-Benz into a scooter in Kochi, killing the rider, Jayabalakrishnan. The accident occurred around 2:20 am on Sunday near Maraparambu on Container Road in Cheranalloor. Police registered a case under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, relating to rash driving and causing death by negligence.
