The phased transition will see Air India Express begin operating four daily domestic flights from NMIA in December 2026, followed by selected international services from January 2027. IndiGo, meanwhile, plans to commence international operations from NMIA in February 2027. Air India Express and IndiGo are planning to progressively shift selected flight operations from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to Navi Mumbai International Airport.
