Adani Airports is planning to redevelop Terminal 1 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to improve passenger capacity. The capacity will increase from 15 million to 20. "It is worth mentioning that only 9% of CSMIAs annual 55 million passenger traffic will be temporarily transitioned as part of redevelopment programme for Terminal 1. CSMIA terminal upgrade begins January 2027 to boost capacity by 33 percent.
