Eight teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), comprising more than 250 personnel, have been kept ready to tackle the possible cyclone approaching the region. The teams have been deployed across six districts of Odisha to respond to emergencies in areas that may be affected by the weather system. According to reports, one team each has been stationed in Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur and Puri.
